Ground Turkey and Cauliflower - AGS, AIP, Low Carb

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs cauliflower florets frozen
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 lb ground turkey - without unsafe additives
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground thyme
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 cup non-dairy cheese, optional
  • chopped cilantro, optional
  • chopped green onions, optional

Method
 

  1. Cook cauliflower as directed on package.
  2. While the cauliflower is cooking, heat a large skillet to medium. Add olive oil and chopped onion. Saute until translucent. Push to one side of the pan.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the pan. Use a meat chopper or wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks. Add the seasonings and the water while cooking and stirring the meat to desired doneness.
  4. Add the cooked cauliflower and mix carefully.
  5. Top with cheese, cover the pan and let the cheese melt.
  6. Serve with chopped cilantro and sliced green onions as a garnish.
